Easter Fun

For once in a long time I was able to spend Easter with the family this year. Although it would have been much better had Meegan and Savannah been with us, it was still fun. John Eykyn and his family came up from Pensacola and we all had a good time watching the kids hunt Easter eggs and eating some good food.

I talked to Savannah and she is convinced that the Easter Bunny came to the home she is staying at. She knows this because the dog barked in the morning and when they went down nobody was there. This proved to her that the Easter Bunny was there and the dog saw it. If only we could keep that innocence forever…

99 Reasons why I hate moving

Howdy all! Sorry for the delay in posting but this last month has been a roller coaster. Moving is never fun and moving from an island in the Pacific to the East Coast is a nightmare. We have managed to get most of our stuff on the way though and I leave with the cats on Thursday.

A lot has happened since I last posted. I went to the Pro Bowl and had a great time. Savannah lost one of her top front teeth. Meegan’s job prospects have been a soap opera all of their own which hopefully will be resolved this week. I managed to pass Calc I and now have to start again with Calc II, which just may drive me to drinking more than I already do! And did I mention that we are leaving paradise for that little patch of humidity I left 18 years ago?

Even so I am looking forward to getting back to the mainland and it will be good for Savannah to be near her grandparents. My job sounds interesting and Augusta looks like it might be a good place to raise Savannah for at least the next year or so.

Anyway only a few more days left here in the islands and I hope to make the most of them. Aloha!
