Pro Bowl Fun!

Having a daughter is great. But her activities are, well, not the most interesting for a guy like me. Brownies, cheer leading, gymnastics are great for her but I just get to be the driver.

So when the Pro Bowl Cheer Clinic came up I thought “Finally something we both will enjoy”. Alas, the gods must have heard me and smote me down with a Calculus test. So instead of having fun watching my daughter cheer with NFL cheerleaders I was stuck puzzling out differential equations in regards to limits.

Next time I’m sacrificing a chicken…

Award day!

I was pleasantly surprised to see Savannah awarded the “Academic Excellence in core subjects”. This means she got Excellent on at least 2 subjects and Proficient or higher in all others.

She was 1 of 3 first-graders to achieve this out of a group of 120. Needless to say we are very proud. We took her out to celebrate and had a great time.

Now if I could just get her to get up easily in the morning…

I got spirit…

Savannah had her debut as a Pearl Harbor basketball cheerleader! She had a blast and her whole squad did great. After the opening ceremony they cheered for a game between two of the Mighty Mite basketball league teams.

She gets to cheer at a game each Saturday up until we leave. She is already asking if they have cheerleaders in Georgia…
